No, no battery is used at all. The diffuser needs to be plugged in to a USB-A power source, laptops, phone chargers and some plugs have USB-A power sources. A power cable is included.

What essential oils can I use?
You can use any essential oil, essential oils are available at most pharmacies. The diffuser does not require essential oils to function.
Can I use tap water?
Absolutely, the minerals in tap water makes for much better diffusion with the ultrasonic vibration used. Just be sure to use clean tap water and get rid of any debris build up or particles. Using distilled or drinking water could harm diffusion capabilities.
Does it make noise?
The PyroMist™ is whisper quiet, producing a barely audible 25dB.
